Accreditations and outcomes
The training provided by the institute, endorsed by both the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and the Iowa Municipal Finance Officers Association, is designed to offer practical, career-enhancing education that extends beyond mere theoretical concepts. This comprehensive approach facilitates the attainment of widely recognized professional certifications in the municipal sector, which are instrumental in advancing one’s career.

These certifications are more than symbols of academic achievement; they are essential to unlocking opportunities for career growth and salary increases. Highlighting the program’s effectiveness, Shonrock noted, “An impressive 27% of our 2022 participants achieved professional certifications. A survey we conducted revealed that 50% of these newly certified professionals reported notable career advancements, including higher salaries and elevated job responsibilities.”
