A Celebration of Life will be held for Marian Strayer on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. at the Colts Corner Community Room, 503 4th St. NE, Belmond, Iowa.
Marian Claire Strayer was born July 5, 1949, in Ft. Dodge, IA, the daughter of Dean Nichols and Theresa (Case) Nichols. She graduated from Algona High School in 1969. She was united in marriage with Nathan Wayne Strayer in Eagle Grove, IA, on February 4, 1967. Marian retired from Printing Services Inc. (PSI) in Belmond, IA.
Marian was very loving and enjoyed family gatherings, cooking her many wonderful dishes, cherishing moments with the grandchildren, helping kids at the school, spending time with “the girls” and collecting many things she loved.
Marian Strayer, 74, of Belmond, IA, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond.
Survivors include her son, Wayne and his wife, Yanet, of Ottawa, IL, her daughter, Christine Schultz and her husband, Dean, of Algona, IA, her grandsons Victor Schultz, Anthony Strayer, Nicholas Strayer and Fabian Tejerina, her granddaughters Tawny Kardoes and Erin Strayer, her great-grandchildren Titus Schultz, Savanah Kardoes and Cameron Kardoes, her sisters, Susan Nichols, Barb Jergenson and her husband, Willis, and Gale Draves, her brother, Mike Nichols and her brother-in-law, Clem Steil and many other nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Dawn Steil.
