AMES, Iowa – Registration is now open for the Rural Housing Readiness Assessment Conference, offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
Scheduled for April 10 at the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center in Ames, this event is intended for local leaders dedicated to tackling the pressing challenges of housing quality, access and affordability in rural communities across Iowa.
Scott Timm, an ISU Extension and Outreach community development specialist, highlighted the conference’s role in addressing housing challenges. “We are at a pivotal moment for rural housing in Iowa. This conference will serve as a platform for sharing innovative solutions and learning about the RHRA program,” Timm said.
The conference is designed to foster discussions, networking and idea-sharing, with a focus on improving the housing landscape in rural areas. It represents a collaborative effort to address the complexities of rural housing and to work toward sustainable solutions.
