Purple Pack Competes in Mason City

Eagle Grove cross country runners navigated a flat but windy course last Thursday for their conference meet held at NIACC’s campus. It was an especially gusty day for runners from the highly competitive Top of Iowa Conference, but three Eagle middle schoolers were able to bring home ribbons.

London Parrott sped through the 2-mile middle school girls’ course in 13:42 for a 4th place finish. Her teammate Lydia Kienzle placed 26th with a time of 16:34.

Tucker Taylor earned 10th place with a time of 13:32 in the middle school boys’ race.

Myka Anderson continued her impressive freshman year with a 39th place finish, and the high school girls finished 10th as a team with a total score of 245.

On the boys’ side, Hunter Waldo-Martinez was once again Eagle Grove’s top finisher. The team took 9th place as a squad in a stacked field.
