Last week, a local star on the diamond signed with the Iowa Central Community College softball team. Eagle Grove’s own Addy Jeske has chosen to continue her athletic career as a Triton in 2025.
Jeske will be joining head coach Bo Tjebben and an Iowa Central club that finished as Region 11 Runners-Up in May.
As a junior with Eagle Grove, the shortstop boasted a team high .463 batting average and helped lead the purple and gold to a 17-8 record. She also tied for the most runs (31), stolen bases (35), and triples (3) on the squad.
In her sophomore campaign, the leadoff hitter led EGHS in batting average (.398), runs (31), and stolen bases (25).
The speedy senior says she’s “aiming for conference player of the year” in her final year as an Eagle and is “excited for the new girls that are coming up.”
