After 5th and 6th grade students at Robert Blue Middle School wrapped up their Kinball unit before the winter break, they still had a few class periods left. So, teacher Amy Ascherl pulled out the parachute to keep the kids busy. As it turns out, there’s a wide variety of activities revolving around a parachute, Ascherl explained in a post to Facebook. “We played sharks and lifeguards, mouse trap, merry-go-round, etc,” Asherl wrote. And the kids got plenty of exercise in the process, Asherl noted, “the parachute is quite the workout!”
It was a great time for the kids, Ascherl revealed, expressing how she wished people in the community “could have seen the smiles and heard the giggles,” adding, “we had some fun!”
Fortunately, thanks to this new website, which we rolled out here at the Eagle Grove Eagle this week, folks in the community CAN see the smiles and hear the giggles, below!
