EAGLE GROVE, Iowa — High school seniors in Wright County looking to further their education have until March 31 to apply for the Wright County District Junior Fair Scholarship. The scholarship committee will award up to three recipients with $500 each, contingent on their academic progress in post-secondary education.

To qualify, applicants must be graduating seniors from a Wright County high school and plan to attend an accredited school or institute within a year of graduation. Additionally, they must have actively participated in the Wright County Fair for at least four years, including significant involvement within the past three years.

Applicants must submit a completed electronic application, available as a fillable PDF at https://wrightcofair.com/pdf/2025/Fair_Scholarship_2025.pdf, along with a sealed letter of recommendation from a Wright County resident who is not a school employee or a fair board member. The application must be postmarked by March 31 and mailed to the Wright County Fair Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 125, Eagle Grove, IA 50533. The scholarship committee may also request interviews with applicants before making final selections.

Recipients will receive payment after January 15, provided they maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in their first semester of post-secondary education and submit proof of enrollment for the second semester. Family members of Wright County Fair Board members are eligible to apply.
