Financial Support For College Is Within Reach With Iowa Central Foundation Scholarships!

FORT DODGE, IOWA – Iowa Central Community College offers a wide range of scholarships to help students reduce the cost of their education and achieve their academic goals. The deadline to submit scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 school year is February 28, 2025. Scholarships are available based on academic achievement, financial need, program of study, and personal background. Whether a student is pursuing a career in healthcare, agriculture, industrial trades, music, or another field, there are numerous opportunities available.

Students are encouraged to apply now and take advantage of the many scholarships available. Only one application is required to be considered for multiple scholarships. The application can be completed online at Iowa Central Scholarship Application, where students can also find resources to guide them through the process.

New scholarships approved by the Foundation Board in 2024 include:

  • Ann Krummen Memorial Scholarship for Nursing – $500 (Preference for non-traditional students)
  • Bonnie Kay Largent Barnett Endowed Scholarship – Amount varies
  • Curtis Bowman Endowed Scholarship – $1,000+ for nursing students
  • East Side Three Endowed Scholarship – Amount varies (For full-time students with financial need, 2.5+ GPA, residing in Area 5)
  • Joe and RuthAnn Loebach Endowed Electrical/Ag/Industrial Scholarship – $1,000
  • Jordan Ulicki Memorial Scholarship – Two scholarships available at $1,500
  • LR McLuckie Human Services Scholarship – $1,000 (For full-time students with financial need, 3.25+ GPA, residing in Area 5, personal essay required)
  • Marvel and Helen Hemphill Endowed Scholarship – $1,500
  • RuthAnn and Joe Loebach Endowed Nursing Scholarship – $1,000

With scholarships increasing by nearly 20% in the past five years, Iowa Central is committed to helping students afford their education. “We want students to focus on their studies without worrying about financial barriers,” says Mary Ludwig, Vice President of Development and Alumni.

Dr. Jesse Ulrich, President of Iowa Central Community College, emphasizes the importance of these scholarships: “Our goal is to help students complete their degree or certification in the shortest time possible, with the least amount of student debt, so they can start their careers successfully.”
