Eagle Grove to Host IHSMA State Music Festival

EAGLE GROVE, IA – Eagle Grove Schools are thrilled to announce they will be hosting the Iowa High School Music Association (IHSMA) Solo and Small Ensemble Festival on Saturday, April 5th. This highly anticipated event will showcase the musical talents of hundreds of students from across central Iowa.

Building on the success of hosting the festival two years ago, Eagle Grove is proud to welcome twelve schools this year, marking a significant expansion of the event. The Elementary and Middle Schools will be six performance centers running simultaneously from 8:00 AM throughout the day.

“We are incredibly excited to host the IHSMA Solo and Small Ensemble Class Festival and welcome so many talented young musicians to Eagle Grove,” said Justin Schwake, High School Band Director. “This event not only celebrates the dedication and skill of these students but also highlights the importance of music education in our communities.”

The public is warmly invited to attend and support these aspiring musicians. The spectator entrance will be through the main Elementary door. A suggested donation of $3 per adult and $1 per student will be collected at the door, with a portion of the proceeds directly benefiting the Eagle Grove school music program.
