Anderson Sprints For Bronze In Humboldt

Several local ladies brought home medals from the annual Nielsen Family Indoor Girls Track Meet held last Thursday at the Ken and Marilyn Nielsen Family Fieldhouse in nearby Humboldt.

Addison Eittreim cleared 4’4” for 5th place and a new PR in the high jump.

Addy Jeske placed 6th overall in the 200m dash, winning her heat and finishing with a time of 30.14. Crystal Flores (19th/33.32) and Kameya Hoop (25th/34.53) also ran the open 200.

Kendra Schild (15th/3:26) and Evie Jergenson (16th/3:32) both represented the purple and gold in the 800m run, and Eagle Grove’s 4×8 team of Aubreigh Miller, Schild, Alizabeth Page, and Payton Terwilliger timed in at 13:19 to place 6th overall.

Myka Anderson ran 1:11.9 in the 400m dash to earn 3rd in a field of 14 runners. She won her heat and was only a half-second off of 2nd place. Anderson would also compete in the 60m hurdles and finish 15th.  

The 4×200 relay team of Jeske, Mya Morgan, Ellie Lenning, and Taytum Edwards blazed around Humboldt’s blue, 200-meter track in 2:00.30 for 5th place in a field of 16 teams. 

Lenning also completed the 60m dash in 8.85 seconds for 7th place.

Rynn Ettinger (15th/25’8”) and Keylyee Collins (19th/22’4”) threw the shot for Eagle Grove, while Holly Anderson (14th/9.61) and Hailey Olson (24th/10.18) both competed in the 60m dash. 

The short indoor season has now come to an end, but you can catch the girls at their first outdoor meet on April 7th at Southeast Valley’s Richard Ryan Relays.
