EAGLE GROVE, Iowa — Volunteers gathered on Sunday, April 6, at the Rails Depot to fill hundreds of plastic eggs with candy and small prizes in preparation for the annual spring tradition of the Easter Egg Hunt. This year families with young children are invited to Hewitt Park on Saturday, April 19, 2025, for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, starting at 3 p.m. The event is open to children 10 and under.

This year the hunt is being organized by Cassidy Reed and sponsored by Eagle Grove Empowerment. Donations are still welcome — whether monetary, candy, or prizes — and will help ensure there are plenty of eggs for every child who attends, this year, and in years to come.

“Please come a little early to sign up for prizes,” Reed said in a Facebook post. The hunt will start at 3:00 PM “sharp”.

In the case of bad weather, a makeup date planned for Sunday, April 20 at the same time.

More information and donation details can be found on the Eagle Grove Empowerment Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/748911717165079/).
