EAGLE GROVE, Iowa — Wright County Iowa Discounts, the newest addition to the Eagle Grove business community, will celebrate its official opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 18 at 4 p.m. The event will take place at the store’s location, 2759 Country Lane Circle in Eagle Grove.

The public is invited to attend and help welcome Eagle Grove’s newest Chamber member. Plus, three lucky winners will get a $50 in-store credit voucher each, as part of a giveaway celebrating the ribbon cutting.
The store, opened by Terry and Jamie Gump of Goldfield, offers a wide range of discounted items. With prices as good as or better than big box store prices—but right here in Eagle Grove—from household essentials and cleaning supplies to snacks, tools, pet supplies, and clothing; even big screen TV’s. The store sources its inventory from customer returns, overstock, and shelf-pulls from major retailers, providing name-brand goods at the low end of retail prices.
“We know times are tough for a lot of people. Prices are high everywhere,” Terry said, “and not everyone is comfortable shopping online. We wanted to offer a local option that makes everyday essentials and name-brand items more affordable.”
“We want to help stretch people’s budgets further,” Jamie noted. “If you can buy a pair of brand-name shoes for $10 instead of $50 or an air fryer for half the price you’d pay elsewhere, that’s money that can go toward groceries, bills, or other necessities.”
The business has already generated buzz in the community, with locals praising the variety and affordability of the merchandise. With its grand opening event set to draw a crowd, Wright County Iowa Discounts is poised to become a popular destination for value-conscious shoppers.
