EAGLE GROVE — The Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce is bringing the glitz and glamour of Vegas to town with this year’s “Ladies Night Out,” set for Friday, May 2, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Nine & Dine Restaurant. The popular event will feature casino-themed games, an appetizer buffet, raffle drawings, and the conclusion of the Shop Local Poker promotion—which begins this weekend.

The combination of events is what Chamber of Commerce Director Brooke Hathaway called, “a new twist on Ladies Night.” “We’re bringing the excitement of the casino to Eagle Grove,” said Hathaway, who added, “bring your poker faces and your besties for a night full of games, prizes, and fun!”

The evening kicks off with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by games starting at 6 p.m. and the final raffle drawing at 9 p.m. Guests can purchase “Casino Cash” to play games for chances to win prizes. A minimum of $5 Casino Cash is required to participate, but those who buy at the door will have their total doubled. For example, a $25 purchase would yield $50 in Casino Cash. At 8 p.m., players will exchange their Casino Cash for raffle tickets and bid on prizes.

In addition to the casino fun, the Chamber’s “Shop Local Poker” promotion wraps up the same night. Starting Friday (April 18), residents can building poker hands by shopping at participating businesses, earning one card for every $10 spent, up to $50 per store. Completed poker hands can be submitted to the Chamber office anytime before May 2 or in person during the event.

The top three poker hands will win prizes, and winners will be announced during the evening. Participants do not need to be present to win.

“Whether you’re feeling lucky or just in it for the laughs, this is your night to unwind and maybe even win big,” said Hathaway. “It’s going to be a great time – let’s make it a ‘full house’!”
