Shop Local Poker concludes during Ladies Night Out at 9 & Dine

EAGLE GROVE, Iowa — The excitement is building as the Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce prepares to host its “Ladies Night Out” event this Friday, May 2, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Nine & Dine Restaurant. Featuring a fun-filled night of Vegas-style games, a buffet of appetizers, prize raffles, and more, the evening also marks the finale of the Chamber’s Shop Local Poker promotion, which some have also called “Vegas Night.”
The festivities begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., giving guests a chance to mingle and enjoy refreshments before the games get underway. At 6 p.m., the casino-themed games will begin, offering participants the chance to test their luck and skills. To participate, guests must purchase “Casino Cash” — with a minimum buy-in of $5 — to join the games. Casino Cash is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. Those purchasing Casino Cash at the door will have their amount doubled — for example, a $25 purchase would receive $50 in Casino Cash. Players can use their Casino Cash at each game table to try their hand at winning even more.
At 8 p.m., players will turn in their remaining Casino Cash in exchange for raffle tickets, which can then be used to bid on a wide variety of exciting prizes donated by local businesses and sponsors. The evening will culminate with a raffle prize drawing at 9 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Shop Local Poker contest, which launched on April 18, will conclude Friday night as well. Shoppers who have visited participating local businesses over the past two weeks collected one card for every $10 spent, up to a maximum of five cards per purchase. Cards were available at the Chamber office and at participating businesses.
Participants who have built their poker hands must turn in their completed forms to the Chamber office either before May 2 or during the Ladies Night Out event. The top three poker hands will each be awarded prizes, with winners announced during the evening. Participants do not need to be present to win.
The Chamber encourages everyone to come out, support local businesses, and enjoy an evening of fun, food, games, and community spirit.
