After a week and a half of rest, the Eagle Grove girls track and field team got their legs back underneath them at a May 2 meet in Hampton. Thirteen other schools with attended the Jim Basye Coed Relays, and the girls placed 12th as a team after scoring 27 points. Forest City (117), Lake Mills (92), and Hudson (79.5) were all in the top-3.
Taytum Edwards was Eagle Grove’s top finisher after completing the open 200 in 27.64 for 3rd overall. Edwards and the 4×400 team of Myka Anderson, Ellie Lenning, and Addy Jeske finished their mile in a season best time of 4:33.01 for 3rd place.
