The Eagle Grove girls basketball team had another busy week with three games in four days.

Tuesday night at home, the squad tipped off with a loss to North Union (12-7 overall, 9-5 conference).
The Warriors led the entire contest and went on to win, 54-26.
Taytum Edwards had seven points in the loss, and Myka Anderson added another six points and six steals.

Ellie Lenning scored five, and Kendra Schild pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
On Wednesday, the Eagles hosted Belmond-Klemme (4-16, 1-14).
Lenning and Edwards got the scoring going with three-balls in the first quarter, but the Broncos remained in the game with points in the paint.
A Myka Anderson three gave EG a 14-8 edge in the second quarter.
Belmond-Klemme still trailed by six after three quarters, but Edwards went on a personal 9-0 run with three triples and a pair of steals in the fourth. After some “oohs” and “ahs” from the crowd and another Myka Anderson triple, the Eagles conquered the Broncos, 43-27.
Edwards had a stat line of 19 points, five boards, and three steals.

Myka Anderson contributed 11 points and nine rebounds, and Lenning added nine points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
A day later, the team would have a Friday night road game in Buffalo Center against North Iowa (5-16, 3-12).
The girls led 46-40 early in the fourth quarter, but North Iowa went on an 18-4 run to come-from-behind, 58-50.

On Saturday, the team will face Top of Iowa-West opponent (3A) #7 Forest City (17-3, 13-1) in the first round of Class 3A, Region 7 play. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. at Forest City High School.
