Supervisors Add Fiber Internet

SIGOURNEY – During the March 3 meeting of the Keokuk County Board of Supervisors, the supervisors approved adding MCG fiber internet at the courthouse to help with internet issues, in addition to the existing internet provider. Charles Kent from the IT department stated this would cost $170, which is within the department’s budget. County Assessor Drew Sanders stated his department was having issues with long wait times to send out data with the current internet and that this would help. Also during the Monday meeting, the supervisors called Atwood Electric to look at problems caused by brief power outages at the courthouse, resulting in the servers and phones going down.
