English Valleys Holds Swing Show

NORTH ENGLISH – English Valleys High School held a Cabaret-themed Swing Show on March 7. Songs performed included “Phantom of the Opera,” “Seventy Six Trombones,” and “Blue Ridge Reel” by the high school band; “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” from “Hamilton,” “What the World Needs Now is Love,” “And So It Goes,” and “Fix You” by the mixed chorus; “You Can’t Stop the Beat” and “Mack the Night” by the Jazz Band, with McKena Rugg, Jack Osborn and Jon Hoylman as soloists for the latter; “A Million Dreams” by Kaylynn Caster and Anna Luers; “Say My Name” from “Beetlejuice” by Daige Sabin and Kaylynne Hoylman; “Take Me To War” from “Crane Wives” by Kaylynne Hoyman; “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables” by Kaylynne Hoylman; “As the World Caves In” by Daige Sabin; “What is This Feeling” from “Wicked” by Kaylee Frazier, Phoenix Sorden, Daige Sabin and Kaylynne Hoylman; “Don’t Let Up” by several students; and “Sugar Bum Bum” by the Steel Band.
