Lyle Alleyn Fisher

Keswick—Lyle Alleyn Fisher was born July 11, 1949, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Donald Leo and Roselyn Marie (Peiffer) Fisher. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1967 and Kirkwood Community College. He later served in the US Army as a medic. In April 1979, Alleyn was united in marriage to Deborah Garrett, they later divorced. Alleyn was a lifelong farmer in the Keswick area and also worked as a machinist. He enjoyed his retirement by tinkering with farm projects, taking the scenic route to Adel to see his grandsons Tate & Kole, meeting Dave & Lisa at Riverside Casino, farming and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. Alleyn died on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Keokuk County Health Center, in Sigourney, at the age of 75 years.

He is survived by a daughter Jaime (Charlie Weber) Fisher of Sigourney; a son Jason (Alicia) Fisher of Adel; two grandchildren Tate & Kole Fisher; two brothers Arlen (Patty) Fisher of North English and Brian (Patty) Fisher of South English; three sisters Doneta (Tom) Stephenson of Keswick, Judy (Mike) Weldon of Cedar Rapids and Lisa (David) Axmear of North English; a sister-in-law, Loralee Fisher Keswick and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; a brother Gregg Fisher and a nephew Nathan Fisher.

Celebration Of Life Service was held 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial followed in the Sorden Cemetery. Visitation was on Wednesday, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Essence of Life Hospice or the Keokuk County Health Center.
