Keota girls finish sixth at Wapello meet

WAPELLO – Strong runs carried the Keota girls as they ran at the Wapello track meet on May 1.

Overall the Eagles finished sixth overall with 31 points. West Liberty won the meet with 151.5 points.

One of the best runs of the night came in the 4×200 relay where the girls finished second with a time of 2:01.99.

In the sprint medley relay the Eagles finished second with a time of 2:05.66.

Olivia Lyle was able to finish third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.2. Teammate Cameron Haifley finished ninth with a time of 32 seconds.

The 4×100 team placed fourth with a time of 58.31.

Jaylah Redlinger was fourth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 19.58. She also finished eighth in the 100 meter dash.

Karley Greiner was seventh overall in the shot put. Kennedy Jackson placed ninth. In the discus Jackson finished eighth overall.

Izzi Chalupa was eighth in the long jump.
