SIGOURNEY – As the calendar turns to the final month of the season they seemed to have everything working together.
Last week the Sigourney girls golf team had two strong outings.
On April 30 the Sigourney girls hosted Oskaloosa and were able to win 198-200. The girls returned to the links on May 1 when they were able to finish second in a triangular against BGM and North Mahaska.
In the dual with Oskaloosa the Savages turned in a number of strong scores.
Hannah Hanselman and Adalynne Tremmel both finished the course with 48s to take the medalist honors.
Tremmel finished with three double bogies on her scorecard to lead the way. Hanselman was consistent through the first five holes with five-straight bogies. She also had three double bogies recorded on her scorecard.
Kayla Renner finished third with a 49.
Reagan Clarahan was fourth with a 53. Ella Bruns shot a 55 and Ella Fineran finished with 65 total strokes.
On May 1, the Savages took second in the triangular with BGM and North Mahaska shooting a 206. BGM won with a 195.
Ella Bruns led the way for the Savages with a 49. She finished fourth overall. Kayla Renner was sixth with a 50.
Hanselman was ninth overall with a 52. Tremmel shot a 55. Clarahan returned to the clubhouse with a 56. Ellie Ireland signed her scorecard with 59 total strokes.
