Three Panthers Earn All-Conference Recognition

PACKWOOD – Throughout the year they turned in some of the best performances in their conference.

Although the Panthers season ended much earlier than expected, three of the Pekin players were honored by the Southeast Iowa Super Conference with a nod on the All-Conference team. 

Cole Millikin was named to the first team All-Conference list. On the second team All-Conference list were Will Adam and Nolan Glick. 

Millikin was one of the breakout stars for the Panthers this season. A big reason why Pekin finished the year with a record of 15-8 is because of the play of Millikin. 

This winter the junior led his team in scoring with 329 total points. He pulled in 61 rebounds, had 71 assists and 35 steals. 

Millikin was a sharpshooter as he finished the year shooting 41 percent from the floor. He also was a strong shot from long range as he made 40 percent of his three pointers. 

Speaking of three pointers, Millikin was able to celebrate with a new school record this year. The junior made 78 three pointers, setting a new school record in most three pointers made in a single season.

Will Adam completed his senior season as the team’s third-highest scorer. Adam finished the year with 222 total points. 

Adam became known as the rebounder for the Panthers this year. Over the course of the season he grabbed 148 total rebounds, leading his team. He was an effective rebounder as he grabbed 92 defensive rebounds and 56 from the offensive side. 

Adam also had 74 steals, which led his team. Throughout the season he added 56 assists and 10 blocks. 

Just ahead of Adam on the scoring sheet was junior Nolan Glick. Glick finished the season scoring 276 total points. 

Throughout the year Glick was able to grab 102 total rebounds. He had 65 defensive rebounds and 37 offensive rebounds. Overall he added 13 steals, three assists. 

He was a team leader with 11 total blocks this season. 

Two Panther players were named to the All-Conference honorable mention list. 

Kasey Davis concluded his senior season with 128 total points. He had 116 rebounds, 34 assists, 28 steals and seven blocked shots. 

Henry Adam had a strong sophomore year. He scored 154 total points. Overall he grabbed 96 total rebounds. He added 61 steals, two blocks. Henry Adam was the king of the assists with 122 recorded this season.
