Last week the Bears had to survive threats of extreme weather and cold weather just to get their golf meets in.
In the end, only one girls meet was played last week as the Bears played at Belle Plaine in an 18-hole course against Don Bosco, GMG and Bell Plaine.
The Bears did not field a full team, and therefore, did not have a team score. Don Bosco won the meet with a 405.
Taylor Mikesell finished sixth overall with 118 total strokes on her scorecard. She was the first finisher not representing Don Bosco. Nicole Murphy finished eighth with a 136.
Like the girls, the boys golf team also only played in one meet. The Bears also played at the 18-hole tournament hosted by Belle Plaine.
Overall the boys finished second with 416 total strokes. Don Bosco was the overall winner with a 334.
Gage Heyne had the overall best round with a 77 on his scorecard. He was three strokes better than Blake Irvine, the leader for Don Bosco.
Tyler Lortz was fourth overall with an 84.
Owen Mather shot a 125 and finished in 13th. Teagan Mast was 14th overall with a 130. Jackson Overy was 16th overall after shooting a 153
