Mosaic ended their day services in Clarion due to rate cuts and lack of employees.
Twins Ezekial and Malva Joy were the first babies born in Wright County in 2019. Their parents Kandace and Zachary are from Swaledale.
New Wright County Supervisor Dean Kluss was sworn in for district 2. Kluss took over for Stan Watne who retired after 25 years.
The City of Clarion released the results of a survey. The survey revealed concerns about the cost of housing in Clarion. It also found that many felt Clarion was not progressive enough in the area of economic development. People were happy with public safety in town.
Area firemen from Clarion and several surrounding towns shaved their heads for a good cause. Dozens people went bald in honor of Rick Smith who was fighting brain cancer. The event earned over $18,000.
The Holy Family Cluster Haiti Mission Team announced their annual mission trip had to be canceled. With the State Department warning of dangerous condition in the country, the group decided the trip was too hazardous this year.
Seniors Ryan Watne and Noelia Meza were crowned Winter Festival King and Queen.
