The Cowboys traveled to Algona last Tuesday and lost 71-40 to the home Bulldogs. Coady Olson poured in 18 points with a nice 5 of 6 night at the line. Mateo Martinez scored 11 points, with both hitting a three-pointer. Connor State added six points and Nevan Foss five points. Aiden Harrington pulled down six rebounds, Jaxon Carpenter made four assists, Olson made two steals and Carpenter went up for two blocked shots.
The team opened district play at Garner this past Monday and won a 75-30 game over the Eagle Grove Eagles. Watch for compete stats of that game in next week’s Monitor.
