Jason Wessels has announced that he is running for the District 1 County Supervisor position. Jason and his wife Jackie, along with their two children, Madison and Tristan, live just outside of Belmond. Jason is a lifelong resident of Belmond. He and Jackie owned Allen Home Center, Inc in Belmond from January 2013 to January of 2020. Jason has worked for Olsen Accounting since January of 2002 and became the owner in January of 2014. He is an Enrolled Agent with IRS since August 1st of 2012.
"I believe we need to aggressively seek economic growth and diversity for Wright County and its residence while being fiscally responsible for the present and the future of the county,” Wessels said. “A good leader is one that is willing to make hard and sometimes unpopular decisions for the betterment of the county and it's residence, and I am ready to make those decisions."
