Last Friday night on the Titans home field in Lake City, the host team wasn’t too kind to the visiting Cowboys in a 49-13 loss that drops them to 0-3 on the season. When Shane Conlon did have the time, he fired touchdown passes to Mateo Martinez and Bryce Allen. That was all they would muster on this night.
Conlon finished at 9 of 28 for 146 yards and a 75.9 QB rating. Coady Olson made the bulk of the catches at five for 80 total yards (16.0 average). Martinez finished at two for 47, Allen one for 13 and Aiden Harrington one for six yards. Trenton Jergenson had 12 carries for 17 yards, Nevan Foss seven for 16 yards and Conlon three for 14 yards.
Artemio Gonzalez kicked off three times for a 41.0-yard average, while Kain Nelson booted five punts for a 27.0-yard average. Martinez returned six kicks for a 12.7-yard average, while Harrington returned two punts for an 18.0-yard average.
The tackle numbers show Foss with six solo and 10.0 total tackles. Reed Abbas made four solo stops and 5.0 total tackles, while Cale Kirstein had three solo and 5.0 total. Allen had two solo and 4.0 total tackles, Preston Gardner two solo and 3.0 total and Martinez two solo and 2.5 as a total. Kain Nelson finished with one solo and a 2.0 total and Camden Hanson one solo and a 1.5 total. Jergenson had 2.0 total and Harrington 1.5 total for the night. Nelson had 1.5 sacks, along with 2.0 tackles for a loss, as part of his total. Jergenson had an assist on the Nelson sack, with Martinez credited for one of his stops for a loss. Both Jergenson and Hanson shared in a tackle for loss.
The Cowboys will look for their first win in hosting Belmond-Klemme this Friday. The Broncos (1-1) are coming off a 36-20 loss to Southeast Valley.
