New COVID Guideline from Governor Kim Reynolds and The Iowa Department Of Public Health

•             If there is a positive case of COVID and both that individual and the exposed person were wearing a face covering/mask (not just a shield), quarantine of the exposed individual may not be necessary.

•             COVID testing will still be recommended for all individuals exposed to a positive case even if wearing a face covering.

•             This does NOT include households or health care facilities.  If there is a positive case of COVID, contact tracing will be done and all will be quarantined.

  • This does not include anyone who has come in face-to-face contact (up close and personal) with a positive case nor anyone who has been six feet or closer to a positive for more than 15 minutes.  They will be quarantined.
