“Southeast Valley is a good football team and we competed into the middle of the third quarter,” stated head coach Tim Morrison. “We could not sustain the same level of focus for four quarters. In the first half we won the turnover and explosive play battle. However, in the second half we didn’t and the game got away from us. We certainly gained confidence in our ability to play with anyone. Our football team is still learning that each play is paramount to the success of our program. We have to play more consistent with everybody just worrying about doing their job.”

This week vs. Eagle Grove: One of these two teams is guaranteed of their first win this Friday, as both have been frustrated with not putting things totally together up to this point and are desperate to break through. “The Eagles present a whole new set of challenges defensively in running the wing-T option,” said Morrison. “We must play assignment-sound every snap. Defensively, they will load the box and make us throw the ball. We haven’t been able to throw and catch consistently so far, and that will be a focus of our preparation this week. We are exited for another opportunity to improve as a football team.”
