Clarion-Goldfield-Dows announced early this week that Athletic Director Tim Morrison had resigned effective November 30. Morrison will be moving on to a new role as the offensive line coach for Wartburg College in Waverly.
The district also announced that Jeff Meyer will be acting as interim Athletic Director for the high school. Meyer, already a three-year staff member, is currently teaching science at the high school. He will be adding the AD duties to his current responsibilities for the rest of the 2020-21 school year.
According to Superintendent Joe Nelson, Meyer has a breadth of experience in school athletics. Nelson added, “We would like to thank Jeff for stepping up to this additional duty and commend him for his willingness to serve the students and families of CGD athletes in this capacity.”
