Supervisors hold short meeting

In a brief meeting of the Wright County Board of Supervisors on Monday morning, the board received their usual COVID update. Since March, there have been 1,785 positive cases in the county with 1,652 recovered. Sandy McGrath said the county had a period of very few positives, but she is seeing a small spike lately. She reiterated the need for masks.

The vaccine clinics throughout the county continue. As of last week, all teachers in the county who chose to receive it have been vaccinated. McGrath said that weather may slow up vaccine distribution. The county is still set to get 200 doses per week. They do receive additional doses to complete the booster shot that is needed 28 days after the initial vaccination. People are scheduled for their booster dose when they get their first shot at the various clinics.

Wright County Engineer Adam Clemons reported to the board that Woolstock had been granted $1 million in state bridge replacement funds. Those funds will be used on bridge repairs near Woolstock starting next year.
