The Wright County Monitor’s special scratch-off ticket promotion is at an end, and we would like to thank all the new and renewing subscribers who participated. It was a great success.
The promotion was particularly successful for one Monitor subscriber – Brenda (McHale) Alexander. Brenda was the lucky subscriber who won a free year subscription of the paper. She was happy to hear about her good fortune.
Though she now lives in the Indianola area, Brenda was born and raised in Clarion. Even when she moved away, she kept up her Monitor subscription to follow her niece during her school years. Brenda estimates she has been subscribing for about 20 years! She said her favorite part of the paper is the Monitor Memories as they occasionally feature people she remembers.
