On December 12th, the Dows City Council was given a challenge by Jim Tausz, President of the Bradford Exchange of Clarion, Iowa to raise $6500.00 for ongoing pool repairs for the City of Dows. He stated that if the city was able to raise $6500.00, he would match it with another $6500.00.
Needless to say with the help of the people of Dows, local businesses and surrounding communities, the council was able to not only raise the matching funds, but surpassed the amount needed to gain matching funds.
Thank you to Jim Tausz for his gracious donation, but more importantly the town of Dows and all donors for recognizing the needs that the town continues to have to keep our swimming pool functioning for years to come.
