Recently, eight Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Middle School Talented and Gifted (TAG) student attended the State Science Technology Fair of Iowa. The fair took place on March 25 in Ames at Iowa State University. Seven of the eight CGD participants earned awards.
Students awarded included Kiernan Bremmer – Lemelson Early Inventor Prize; Logan Legleiter and Jillian Mewes – State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa Excellence Awards; Spark Awards – Logan Torsell, Cole Schnittjer, Ryan Farnum, Nic Curry; 3rd in 6th grade Engineering – Ryan Farnum.
CGD TAG Director Tanja Jensen said, “These students did incredible for our first year participating. They all commented that they are already thinking about next year's projects.”
