The Lake Clovers 4-H Club of Wright County hosted a meal packaging event at their March meeting. The opportunity to apply for the Wright County Endowment Grant got the group thinking about their 2022 Service Project and this year they choose to package meals with the funds.
The 4-H members created a committee of Kali Wharton and Lea Charlson to make the choices on the meal prep and with the help of Whitney Dahlgren, the committee decided to package a two chop and four chop dinner. The Dows Grocery was their local choice of sourcing the food for purchase. Thanks to SheRee Wharton who gathered all the supplies and cut all the chops.
In total, the Lake Clovers made 50 2-chop along with 50 4-chop meals. The meals will be donated to the food pantry in addition to being handed out to those who have reached out with a need. The Lake Clovers would like to thank the Wright County Endowment for providing them with half of the expenses through the grant to encourage students to engage in citizenship in their community.
