The Cowgirls golf team struggled as they traveled the Riverbend Golf Course in Story City to compete against Roland Story. The home team beat the Cowgirls 184 strokes to 230. Makenna Carlson from Roland Story was the top medalist at the meet with 41.
The only Cowgirl to place in the top five was Sawyer Morrical with a score of 52. Other Cowgirl golfers- Lauren Brooks, 59; Karina Torres, 59; Emily Christensen, 60; Delia Swanson, 64; Julia Gardner, 77.
The story for the Cowgirls was similar when they traveled to Clear Lake for another windy meet on Friday. They came in under the home team with 213 strokes to CL’s 170. Morrical again earned CGD’s best score with a 49. CL’s Megan Delong won the day with a 37.

The ‘girls home meet scheduled for last Saturday was canceled because of rainy conditions.
