On Tuesday, the Cowgirls track team headed to the George Abell Hawkette Relays at South Hamilton. The home team won the day with a score of 146. The Cowgirls came in 5th at 72 points.
With their small team, the Cowgirls has several strong finishes. Mikayla Beisel won high jump with 5-2.00 jump. The Cowgirls took 2nd (Matea Conlon-13.79) and 4th (Jorja Fulk-14.35) in the 100 meter dash. Kennedy Trca came in 2nd in the long jump at 15-4.25. Fulk also had a strong 4th place (28.95) showing in the 200 meter dash. Harley Charlson took 3rd in the 800 meter run with 2:41.08. In the 100 m hurdles, Mikayla Beisel took 2nd (16.54) and Kennedy Trca 4th (17.81). Clarissa Hasty earned 3rd in the 400 m hurdles (1:17.88). Ellie Mewes had a 4th place finish in shot put at 27-11.00. The 4×100 m relay team of Fulk, Conlon, Trca, and Beisel came in 3rd at 53.67.
