City of Clarion Launches New Software System
FRONT DESK Set to Go Live on September 29, 2023
What does that mean for our residents/businesses of Clarion?
If your utility account is on E-billing and/or ACH withdrawal prior to the effective date and you would like to continue those services, you will need to set up your account with FrontDesk.
Automatic Payments: If you prefer city hall to help set up ACH (only) in the new system, stop/call city hall, and we will help assist you with the process.
Yes, there is a $1.30 processing fee each month with the new ACH system (the software company charges a fee to run and maintain the security network over the program – not the city). We understand this can be frustrating, but a few things to consider – postage rates continue to climb, so if you mail your bill, there is a cost for an envelope and stamp. Also, if payment is not received in-house by the 15th of each month, there is an additional $10.00 late fee. Postmark dates prior to the due date are not considered towards timely payment.
Do I/we have to sign up for FrontDesk?
If you want to receive a paper bill via US Postal Mail and are paying by check, cash, credit card, or cashier’s check – then no. No action required.
There is a drop box located in the entryway of City Hall available 24/7 to drop off payment.
