The Heartland Museum is seeking old photographs! If you possess any, please contact the museum at (515) 602-6000. According to the Heartland Museum's October newsletter, the Wright County Genealogical Searchers have reorganized. The group will hold monthly meetings and plan to dedicate Tuesdays and Saturdays as work days for the next year. Gatherings will take place at the Clarion Public Library. Participants can expect assistance with family research and access to a range of educational opportunities. For further information, contact JoAnn Kramer at genealogysearcher2013@gmail.com.
In other updates, a private donation has been made to the museum for the establishment of a memorial garden in honor of Edna Scott, located west of the 4-H schoolhouse. Once completed, the garden will serve as a charming outdoor addition to the museum grounds. Edna Scott was a devoted 4-H leader for a decade. Additionally, John Lager has generously donated an antique pump to the museum, which will be installed beneath the windmill. Lager has been actively involved in 4-H activities throughout his life.
