Dress up, Dance, and Donate!

When someone considers prom, the first image that comes to mind probably isn’t adult women getting crazy on the dance floor with their girlfriends while raising money for a good cause. But that is exactly the goal of “Mom Prom”.

Mom Prom is a charity event where women 21+ wear something fancy, or at least something clean, and dance the night away for a good cause. The 2024 Mom Prom theme is “Masquerade”. Guests are encouraged to wear their best attire and fanciest masks to the event. Prizes will be awarded to those with the best mask, shoes, dress, makeup, hair, overall costume, and most colorful mask and dress by vote. Ticket and silent auction funds will be donated to Wright Community Connections, Wright County’s newly introduced community outreach center.

Mom Prom attendee Megan Fiscus and her guest shared of the 2023 event, “We talked more than danced but it was just what we needed!” Megan Fiscus lives in Wright County and is the mother of two children. Even though the event title suggests it is only for moms that is far from the truth. Women of all titles who are 21 or older are encouraged to attend.

Amaya Kae shared after attending the first Mom Prom, “Even though I am not a mom, I attended the Mom Prom. It was enjoyable to spend time with other women in the community who I normally would not as a woman from a younger generation.”

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40.00 in Belmond (Sugarpie Bakery & Cafe, Threads), Clarion (Grounded, Italics Boutique, Leah Jean Salon, Riveter Nutrition, Appearances Salon and Spa), and Eagle Grove (Slay Nutrition, Studio Sol) or at the door for $50 the night of the event.

Along with admission to the event, your ticket includes one complimentary drink and raffle voucher, hors d'oeuvres, a lot of fun, and sisterly connection! Find that old gown, gather your girlfriends, and get ready to dance while helping a much-needed community nonprofit organization.

So this is prom, do I have to bring my significant other?
No men allowed! This is a ladies-only event.

I’m not a mom, not even a “dog mom”, can I come?

YES, please still attend. This night is about celebrating the women we love and the friendships we have with one another!

What are we raising money for again?
