Cynthia Paschen, a former librarian and current journalist, is running against Guth in the 2024 Primary election. Paschen shared, “I want rural Iowans to thrive. I will fight to fully fund our public schools, public libraries, and Area Education Associations (AEAs.) LGBTQ Iowans deserve to live their lives without fear or scrutiny of their genitals. I will fight to protect the reproductive freedoms of all Iowans.”

The primary is June 4, 2024. For more information, please visit the Wright County Auditor in the Wright County courthouse or by calling, (515) 851-0202.
