This month’s 4-H Clover Kids theme was centered around space, astronauts, and the 4 forces of flight; thrust, lift, weight, and drag. Youths were challenged to design and make a straw rocket to use the 4 forces to fly through the air. The Clover Kids used their rocket ship to predict, measure, and record data of each flight.
The kids were very excited to learn about the 4 forces of flight and how a rocket can blast into space. They also learned the order of the solar system and an interesting fact about each planet. Clover Kids enjoyed story time, snacks, playing a game, and making rockets to test their hypothesis.
This month’s Clover Kids was focused on STEM. Clover Kids is a safe place for kids to practice
critical thinking, instill a passion for innovation, and make the learning process fun, relevant,
and everlasting.
Clover Kids is a fun 4-H program specifically designed for children in kindergarten through third grade. Clover Kids fosters positive relationships and builds valuable life skills through a variety of hands-on activities. Clover Kids is free to youth in Wright County thanks to the Wright County 4-H Endowment.
