Dean Kluss, a Republican, is running unopposed to represent District 3 in Wright County. The Clarion native holds a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Navy. Once retired from the Navy in 1999, Kluss embraced the agricultural realm of Wright County and began farming. He will plant his 25th crop this spring. Kluss also holds a Bachelor of Science degree.
“I've served and continue to serve in many leadership roles including Woolstock Cooperative Elevator Board of Director, Woolstock Mutual Telephone Board of Director, Wall Lake Township Trustee, Wright County Veterans Affairs Committee, FSA County Committee, Wright County Fair Board, Wright County Planning and Zoning Board, Clarion Ruritans, Church of Christ Board President and Elder,” Kluss shared with The Wright County Monitor.
Kluss feels he is equipped to continue to serve as the representative for District 3 in Wright County because of his willingness to serve, listen, and make decisions. Kluss is campaigning to continue his representation because he feels there needs to be continuity in county government leadership. “I’m still learning each day,” he shared of his work as Supervisor.
