On December 16, the Webster City/Clarion-Goldfield-Dows wrestling team competed against ten area schools at the Michelle Jensen Memorial Tournament in Humboldt. The host Wildcats earned the team title with 148 points, followed by Hampton-Dumont-CAL and Manson Northwest Webster. Webster City/Clarion-Goldfield-Dows came in fifth with a total of 81.5.
Amielia Lindsey (100) and Cloe Savitski (110) each won bronze in their respective weight classes.
Freshman Marlee Thompson won by fall in all three of her bouts and brought home the 115 title. In the first place match, Thompson pinned teammate Isabelle McNiel in just 47 seconds to improve her record to 12-5.
Kate Feltz wrestled at 155 and earned third, and Liberty Gamble finished in fifth at 235.
