Chairman Pro-tem Kluss called the regular meeting of the Wright County Board of Supervisors to order at 9:13 a.m. Members present were Kluss and Rasmussen with Helgevold present via phone.
Motion by Rasmussen and seconded by Helgevold to approve the tentative agenda. Motion carries.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved.
Approved claims for payment.
Motion by Rasmussen and seconded by Kluss to approve the amendment to the
Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center 28E agreement. This agreement will add an alternate for the CIJDC Commission at the Board of Supervisor’s annual organizational meeting. Motion carries.
Adam Clemons, Wright County Engineer updated the board that the road crew has been out blading and burning ditches when able. Clemons stated that this past year they have been able to complete 792 workorders of all types and hauled 84,123 tons of granular.
Tricia Rosendahl gave the annual update on the Fair. She updated the board on the flooding of the fairgrounds that took place just days before the start of the fair. Even with the flooding, volunteers and the fair board members were able to get it cleaned up with lots of creativity in placement of vendors etc. Entries were up with 148 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors and about 83 non-livestock exhibitors. There were just over 910 entries in the areas of livestock and non-livestock exhibits. The Fair Board is again asking for continued support and this will be considered during budget time.
Motion by Rasmussen and second by Helgevold to adjourn the meeting. Motion carries.
