Clarion Volunteer Fire Department Responds to Fires Sparked by “Controlled Burns”

Amanda Rink, Editor

The Clarion Volunteer Fire Department responded to two separate fires on Monday, January 27. According to an online post from the department, both fires were caused by controlled burns from previous days.

While conditions were calm on Sunday, strong winds on Monday reignited embers, causing the flare-ups. With dry conditions across the state, even the smallest spark can escalate into a significant fire under the right conditions.
