Last Tuesday, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golfers visited Eagle Grove Golf Course again for a triangular against South Hamilton and Eagle Grove. South Hamilton won the meet and finished with a team score of 180, followed closely by the Eagles (190) and the Cowboys (192).
Senior Caleb Seaba shot a 47 and tied a South Hamilton golfer for fourth place. Jacob Ruba and Tristan Kakacek both shot a 48 to tie for sixth, and freshman Teddy Yackle was the final Cowboy scorer with a 49.
Sophomore Adam Hodson (53) and freshman Colin Sesker (68) also golfed for the Cowboys.
The same day, girls golfers would face off against South Hamilton and Eagle Grove at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Goldfield. The Lady Eagles won the triangular with a low score of 204. The Cowgirls finished second with 246, followed by South Hamilton’s 271.
Senior Maddie Askvig was C-G-D’s top finisher with a 56 for fourth place. Claire Kirstein and Blaire Askelsen tied for seventh with 62’s, and Randi Anderson shot a 66 for ninth.
Jordyce Duncalf shot a 70 in Goldfield.
