Wright County United Continue To Improve

The Wright County United boys soccer team fell to 1-4-2 on the season after a Tuesday night loss to 1-3 Waterloo East. 

Junior midfielder Anderson Diaz was the United’s top performer against the Trojans, finishing the road match with an assist and his fourth goal of the season. 

Byron Tux Coc would score United’s only other goal of the contest, and Cristian Lopez added an assist. Goalkeeper Jose Alfaro contributed ten saves in the loss. 

The girls squad played on Monday and Thursday night last week and finished with a 2-2 tie at home against Webster City and a 0-0 tie at home vs. Charles City. 

Sophomore forward Nazaria Matul and senior captain Jocelyn Gonzalez both cashed in on second half goals against the Lynx, and Angelita Camey added an assist. Freshman goalkeeper Angelica Gonzalez finished the match with six saves.
