Beisel Jumps For Fourth Title

On Thursday, the Cowgirl track and field team journeyed to Iowa Falls for their North Central Conference meet against the host Cadets and six other schools. 

Senior MaKayla Beisel tied for her best mark ever in the high jump (5’4”) for her fourth-straight conference title in the event. Beisel would also finish as a runner-up in the 100m hurdles (16.4) and 400m hurdles (1:06.95). 

With a time of 55.84, the Cowgirls 4×100 team of Aleena Schaffer, Daphne Tijull, Ella Engstrom, and Beisel turned in a 4th place performance.   

The shuttle hurdle team of Schaffer, Tijull, Audrey Egland, and Adelynn Howell placed 5th with a time of 1:22.94, and the 4×800 team of Harley Charlson, Yaquelin Bobadilla, Kennedy Hoesing, and Johanna Perez placed 6th in 12:12.46.

As a team, the Cowgirls earned 8th place with 51 points. Clear Lake came away with 1st with a score of 194, followed by Algona with 153 and Humboldt with 74.
