The Dick Bell Invitational was held last Tuesday on the golf course west of Eagle Grove. Humboldt took the girls varsity class A title with 65 points, followed in the top three of seven ful teams by Emmetsburg with 69 and Algona with 75.
Raven Kinnetz had a great run for the Cowgirls in taking third overall in 22:35.26. She was followed by Makayla Pulido in 25:33.61 for 26th, Natalie Kirstein in 26:40.08 for 34th and Lauren Hansch in 30:07.96 for 46th at the finish.
The Cowboys were a respectable fourth with 126 points, trailing only Clear Lake and Webster City with 50 each and Humboldt with 60. Isaiah Nebbe did well on the challenging course, coming home in 18:36.42 for eighth overall. He was followed by Kaeden Langfitt in 18:46.64 for 12th, Jacob Ingebritson in 19:57.10 for 30th, Luke Brownell in 20:07.70 for 33rd, Nick Carpenter in 21:56.30 for 43rd, Ian Schroder in 24:49.32 for 53rd and Jackson Beisel in 24:51.55 for 54th at the finish.
